Our Mission

Our Mission

Betlejemski Dar was born from a simple belief: the people of the Holy Land deserve the opportunity to live with dignity, hope, and a future in their homeland.

01

Keeping the Heart of Bethlehem Alive

Our mission began during the COVID-19 pandemic, when tourism in Bethlehem came to a standstill and many Christian families suddenly lost their main source of income. The difficulties continued with the war in Gaza and the ongoing decline in tourism, leaving many families struggling to provide for their loved ones.

Witnessing these challenges, we decided to take action.

Betlejemski Dar was established to support Christian families and traditional craftsmen in Bethlehem and the surrounding area by purchasing their handmade products directly and bringing them to Poland. Through this initiative, we aim to create sustainable sources of income, preserve traditional craftsmanship, and help families continue living and working in the land where Christianity began.

02

More Than Handmade Products

Every product we offer tells a story. Our olive wood Nativity scenes, crosses, rosaries, religious figures, Christmas ornaments, and other handmade items represent generations of craftsmanship, faith, and cultural heritage.

Behind every creation is a craftsman or family whose livelihood depends on this work. By purchasing their products directly, we help these families earn an income, support their children, and continue their traditions.

We believe that sustainable support means giving people the opportunity to work, earn a living, and build a future, not simply helping them survive today.

03

Supporting Children and Families in Need

Our mission extends beyond traditional craftsmanship. We are also committed to helping vulnerable children and families facing difficult circumstances.

We dedicate a percentage of our proceeds to supporting the children of the Home of Peace in Bethlehem, including their handmade bracelets and necklaces, as well as other families experiencing hardship.

We believe that every child deserves care, dignity, and the opportunity to grow up with hope for a better future.

04

Direct Support, With Heart

Transparency and direct support are at the heart of our work. We purchase products directly from the families and craftsmen we support, creating a continuous cycle that allows us to return to Bethlehem, purchase more handmade goods, and help sustain their livelihoods.

Our approach is simple: we want the value created by these products to return to the community where they were made, while also supporting children and families in need.

05

Preserving a Living Christian Heritage

Bethlehem is more than a place on the map. It is the birthplace of Jesus Christ and a home to generations of Christians whose faith, traditions, and craftsmanship form an essential part of the Holy Land heritage.

We want future generations to continue witnessing the presence of Christian families in Bethlehem, not only through history, but through living communities, working hands, and traditions passed from parents to children.

By connecting people in Poland and across Europe with the handmade treasures of Bethlehem, we hope to build a bridge of solidarity, faith, and hope.

06

Our Vision

We envision a future in which Christian families in Bethlehem can live with dignity, craftsmen can continue their traditional work, and children can grow up with opportunities in their homeland.

Betlejemski Dar means "Bethlehem’s Gift."

For us, every product is more than a gift. It is a connection to the Holy Land, a helping hand to a family, and a small but meaningful contribution to keeping the spirit of Bethlehem alive.

Every purchase becomes a gesture of hope

Together, we can help ensure that the Christian heritage of the Holy Land continues for generations to come.
